Let the lasagna rest for at least 20 minutes before cutting. This allows the layers of cheese and sauce to set, resulting in clean slices that don't fall apart!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20)
  • 1 Package Lasagna noodles
  • 3 cups Shredded Mozzarella
  • 2 cups Ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 32 oz Marinara sauce
  • 1 Egg (for the cheese mixture)

Preparation Steps

  1. Meat Sauce: Brown the beef in a large skillet. Drain fat. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer on low for 10 minutes.
  2. Cheese Mix: In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, parmesan, and the egg. Mix until smooth.
  3. Noodles: Boil noodles according to package directions. Rinse with cold water to prevent sticking.
  4. Assembly: In a 9x13 baking dish, layer sauce, then noodles, then ricotta mixture, and finally mozzarella. Repeat 3 times.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and bubbling.
